Azealia Banks is known for being opinionated, independent, and pushing the envelope. It seems as if the “212” emcee hasn’t lost a step as she boldly posted her topless “Slay-Z” mixtape cover on Twitter. Some believe this simply sexual marketing to seek attention in hopes of getting downloads. Others feel she’s simply asserting her female dominance in her usual outspoken manner. The question is, what makes Azealia’s mixtape artwork different from Nicki Minaj’s (Thong) “Anaconda” picture? What about Foxy Brown’s “Ill Na Na” album cover, Rihanna’s “Unapologetic” album cover, or the infamous Lil Kim “Hardcore” album cover? I will say this image is a step beyond Kim grinding on a bear skin rug by a fire place, but it seems ever generation is raunchier than the last anyway..
