Porn Site XHamster.com Bans North Carolina Users Due To State’s Anti-LGBT Laws

Most wouldn’t expect a pornography website to have a moral compass. However, that ideology hasn’t stopped XHamster.com from standing up for what they believe in. The popular adult site blocked access to all users with North Carolina IP address. Xhamster.com spokesman Mike Kulich said:

“We have spent the last 50 years fighting for equality for everyone and these laws are discriminatory which XHamster.com does not tolerate,” he said in an official statement sent to The Huffington Post. “Judging by the stats of what you North Carolinians watch, we feel this punishment is a severe one. We will not standby and pump revenue into a system that promotes this type of garbage. We respect all sexualities and embrace them.”

North Carolina has been under a lot of fire lately due to the passing of House Bill 2 better known as “The Bathroom Law”. Abc news wrote:

HB2 was signed into law by Gov. Pat McCrory in March, and directs all public schools, government agencies and public college campuses to require that multiple-occupancy bathrooms and changing facilities, such as locker rooms, be designated for use only by people based on their “biological sex” stated on their birth certificate. Transgender people can use the bathrooms and changing facilities that correspond to their gender identity only if they get the biological sex on their birth certificate changed.

To top it all off XHamster.com not only block all the North Carolina IP addresses, but they also displayed statistics for all “Gay” and “Transgender” searches done in the state for the last two years. Well played XHamster, well played..
